To investigate the gut microbial characteristics of healthy Dutch children at 6-9 years as well as the relationship between their gut microbiota and multiple phenotypic factors, we collected stool samples from 281 children aged 6-9 years (mean age 7.25 years) enrolled in the KOALA Birth Cohort Study.
