Denervation-Activated STAT3-IL6 signaling in fibro-adipogenic progenitors promotes myofibers atrophy and fibrosis

This works reveals that denervation induces the accumulation of FAPs with an aberrant activation of the IL6-STAT3 signalling that accounts for their pathogenic activity (fibrosis and muscle atrophy).
