To investigate the effects of environmental temperature on tick microbiome, colony-reared Ixodes scapularis ticks incubated (up to 10 days) at different temperatures (4ºC, 20ºC, 30ºC and 37ºC) at a constant relative humidity of >80% in a controlled lab setting were analyzed for their bacterial profile using 16S V4 rRNA gene sequencing.
