More...We identified the carbapenemase gene blaOXA-499, novel variant of blaOXA-143 from clinical isolate of Acinetobacter pittii for the first time. blaOXA-499 gene was cloned into pWH1266 and transformed into susceptible A. baumannii and A. pittii, which resulted in carbapenem resistance.
