More...Initial sampling for an experimental set-up evaluating seagrass response to variable conditions of light was conducted at Narrabeen Lagoon, in New South Wales, Australia. Samples of seagrass tissue and sediment were subsequently collected from the experiment (under controlled conditions in the lab) and then analysed under an eco-genomic approach, in order to assess i) how do seagrass-associated bacteria and algae respond to light variability, and ii) if potential changes of the seagrass microbiome in response to light variability are related to physiological responses of the plant. Briefly, bacterial and algal communities associated with each of 3 treatments were identified and compared.
