More...Three pilot-scale biocovers packed with the mixture of soil, EG1, food waste compost, and perlite in different combination were constructed at a sanitary landfill at Gwangyang, Korea. Biocovers were operated for simultaneous removal of odor and methane. Microbial communities were examined based on 16S rDNA using pyrosequencing at each seasons. The optimal operational conditions of landfill biocovers were derived, and biotic and abiotic factors were considered.
