Genome Information for Haemophilus influenzae
Haemophilus influenzae 22.1-24. Haemophilus influenzae 22.1-24 and strains 22. More...
Haemophilus influenzae 22.1-24. Haemophilus influenzae 22.1-24 and strains 22.1-21 and 22.4-21 were all recovered from the pharynx of the same healthy child. This strain has no capsule and therefore is a nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHI). NTHI commonly cause otitis media (ear infections) in children and lower respiratory infections in adults with COPD. Haemophilus influenzae 22.1-24 exhibits the previously described sequence type ST2. This strain will be used for comparative analysis.
