we employed RNA-Seq to analyze the de novo transcriptomes of six Nicotiana species, respectively, with the aim of developing six comprehensive core gene sets and identifying expressed resistance gene analogs, transcription factors important in disease resistance and alkaloid transporter genes from six Nicotiana transcriptome sequences by data mining.
