Genome Information for Novosphingobium
Novosphingobium nitrophenolicus ST904 (proposed species) is a plant-associated bacterium isolated from the rhizosphere of Acer pseudoplatanus, growing at a 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene-contaminated forest site in Belgium. The strain can degrade 4-nitrophenol, has TNT-detoxifying capacities and stimulates plant growth.
