More...The goals were 1) characterize the blue crab transcriptome, 2) identify genes that could be regulated in response to oil exposure, 3) identify SNPs for population genetics. Transcriptomes from hepatopancreas and gill tissues of juvenile blue crabs were sequenced with Illumina HiSeq. Transcriptomes of oil exposed and unexposed controls were sequenced.
