More...This study is designed to help understanding biological mechanism aiming at the inherent biological characteristics by which the Camelus bactrianus survives the harsh climate of cold desert Ladakh (J&K, India). Therefore the epitome of this study is to locate, map and functionally annotate the stress (especially cold) tolerant genes of domesticated Bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus) and also to do comparative analysis between C. bactrianus and C. dromedarius.
