More...Nisargruna Biogas technology developed by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is the two stage aerobic-anaerobic sequential digestion of waste which delivers two valuable products viz. methane and manure and that makes Nisargruna Technology economically self-sustainable. Nisargruna biogas plants are now installed at more than 175 places all over India. This study applied Illumina high-throughput sequencing was applied to explore the microbial communities and their functions in TAD and anaerobic digester of Nisargruna Biogas Plant. Paired end sequencing was done using Illumina platform. Present study definitely point out to which are those culturable microorganisms in anaerobic digester as a challenge to microbiologist for culturing purpose. This study also opens up the new gallery of microorganisms, biotechnological potential of which can be explored in the future.
