The aims of this study were to (1) characterize the transcriptome of N. sericea, (2) determine the frequency and distribution of SSRs, as well as develop EST-SSR markers in the transcriptome and examine the level of polymorphism, and (3) assess genetic diversity and population structure of N. sericea from four populations in China, Korea, and Japan using EST-SSR markers developed.RNA-seq
