This is a collection of 16S rRNA fragments from thousands of soil bacteria. DNA was isolated from four soils collected from different sites within the Western Hemisphere (Brazil, Canada, Florida, and Illinois).

EF222481-EF361836 and EF474483-EF483822 correspond to the 16S ribosomal RNA sequences.
