An EST sequencing project for Toxoptera citricida was conducted by the United States Department of Agriculture. 4,263 ESTs representing 2,124 assembled sequences were produced from a cDNA library derived from alate adults. The ESTs and corresponding cDNA clones will provide an important resource for future analyses of gene expression in the brown citrus aphid.
