Genome Information for Helianthus annuus
Despite numerous phylogenetic studies using chloroplast DNA sequence data over the past two decades there still are uncertainties in the species, genus and tribe level relationships that can be addressed by collecting more plastid DNA sequence data. Toward this end, the DNA sequence of the sunflower plastid was determined.
