This was a study comparing the gene expression of liver parenchyma, metastatic colorectal cancer within the liver, and the halo, which is an artifactual area which contained metastatic colorectal cancer before neo-adjuvant chemotherapy reduced the cancer. Overall design: Three-condition experiment, Normal liver vs. Metasis and Metasis halo.
