Genome Information for Buchnera aphidicola
Buchnera sp. Cc. This strain is found in the cedar aphid, Cinara cedri.
Genome sequencing consisted of a combined strategy of DNA libraries generated by cloning DNA purified by pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) followed by filling in the gaps with a long expand PCR strategy. Direct sequencing of PCR products with specific primers as well as clone sequencing with universal primers was used.
