Pyricularia oryzae 70-15

Sequencing, assembly, and annotation of chromosome 7

See Genome Information for Pyricularia oryzae
The Center for Integrated Fungal Research (CIFR) at North Carolina State University (NCSU) generated a draft sequence assembly of Magnaporthe oryzae 70-15 chromosome 7 by assembling chromosome 7 contigs from the first version of the whole genome shotgun (WGS) project AACU00000000, which was produced by the International Rice Blast Genome Consortium, with new sequence from BAC clones and PCR products. They predicted the location of genes on the chromosome using ESTs and semi-automated annotation analysis.
