An effort to generate a map with greater marker density, and thus have more loci available to breeding programs, used the 'Ferragnes' x 'Tuono' mapping population to place SSR and RAPD markers.
More...An effort to generate a map with greater marker density, and thus have more loci available to breeding programs, used the 'Ferragnes' x 'Tuono' mapping population to place SSR and RAPD markers. The result is 5% larger with the new markers placed in regions of low marker density or at the ends of linkage groups.
