Theileria

Comparision of Theileria annulata and Theileria parva genomes

Theileria annulata and T. parva genome were compared. Lymphoproliferative diseases in cattle are caused by these closely related protozoan parasites. There is a high level of conservation of gene sequences and synteny between these species. However, there were differential expansion of certain gene families and species-specific genes.
