Shewanella sp. ANA-3. This strain was isolated from an arsenate treated wood pier that was in a brackish estuary (Eel Pond) in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. It is capable of converting As(V) to arsenite and may be used in bioremediation of contaminated sites.
