Genome Information for Bicyclus anynana
The Community Sequencing Program (CSP) at the Department of Energy's Joint Genome Institute (JGI) has selected the tropical butterfly Bicyclus anynana for inclusion in its portfolio of organisms slated for complete genome sequencing in 2006. The information derived from the sequencing of the B. anynana genome will further understanding and facilitate discovery in evolutionary-developmental biology.
