Ogataea polymorpha RB11

BAC-to-BAC genome sequencing, assembly, and annotation by Qiagen

See Genome Information for Ogataea parapolymorpha
Qiagen, with funding from Rhein Biotech, sequenced the genome of Ogataea polymorpha strain RB11, which is an odc1 derivative of strain CBS 4732. They used a BAC-to-BAC approach in which they shotgun sequenced 188 BACs that were selected as representing a minimal tiling path. Over 90% of the Ogataea polymorpha genome was sequenced at an average coverage of approximately 8X.
