Genome Information for Ogataea parapolymorpha
Qiagen, with funding from
Rhein Biotech, sequenced the genome of
Ogataea polymorpha strain RB11, which is an
odc1 derivative of strain CBS 4732. They used a BAC-to-BAC approach in which they shotgun sequenced 188 BACs that were selected as representing a minimal tiling path. Over 90% of the
Ogataea polymorpha genome was sequenced at an average coverage of approximately 8X.
