Genome Information for Pneumocystis carinii
The
University of Cincinnati, the University of Georgia, and the University of Kentucky sequenced the genome of
Pneumocystis carinii using shotgun sequencing.
In addition, the Sanger Institute carried out a complementary effort to sequence the telomeres of Pneumocystis carinii chromosomes.
