Ostrinia nubilalis (European corn borer)

Sequence of the european corn borer mitochondrial genome

See Genome Information for Ostrinia nubilalis

The complete coding region of the Ostrinia nubilalis mitochondrial genome was sequenced at Iowa State University by Coates et al. (2005). The sequence shows an identical gene order to the lepidopteran Bombyx mori and 1.3% sequence divergence from the asian corn borer O. furnicalis.
