Genome Information for Gasterosteus aculeatus
A genome wide linkage map for Gasterosteus aculeatus is being constructed at the Stanford Genome Evolution Center.
More...A genome wide linkage map for Gasterosteus aculeatus is being constructed at the Stanford Genome Evolution Center. From a lake in British Columbia, a benthic female was crossed to a limnetic male. A resulting F1 hybrid male was backcrossed to a benthic female to generate progeny used for large-scale genotyping analysis. Over 220 microsatellite markers have been analysed and placed on twenty-six initial linkage groups.
