History (Show revision history)

Comment

The Three-toed box turtle DNA was derived from blood of a single male (Will) at the Saint Louis Zoo Institute for Conservation Medicine. The turtle was collected in Kennedy Woods in Forest Park, Saint Louis, MO. The turtle was ... likely released as an adult into Forest Park, and the true place of origin is unknown. Sequences were generated on the 10X Genomics Chromium sequencing platform to approx. 69X coverage based on a genome size of 2.6Gb. The sequences were assembled by the de novo assembly program, Supernova v1.2.2. Of the 2.6 Gb assembled genome (T_m_triunguis-1.0), the total assembly N50 contig and scaffold lengths are 41kb and 1.39Mb, respectively. For questions regarding this T_m_triunguis-1.0 assembly please contact Dr. Wes Warren, McDonnell Genome Institute at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO or Dr. Sharon L. Deem, Director, Institute for Conservation Medicine, Saint Louis Zoo.
