Comment

Isolated in 1996 from pus aspirated from liver abscess from patient at the Wellcome Trust Unit, Bangkok, Thailand. The patient survived to discharge. This strain will be used for comparative genomics.

The annotation submitted here is the result of two ... distinct annotation efforts. DeShazer, D., Woods, D.E. and Nierman, W.C. generated the initial functional annotation. Participating institutions for the initial annotation were: U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, University of Calgary and the J. Craig Venter Institute. The annotation was subsequently modified by Harkins, D.M., Brinkac, L.M., Brown, K.A., Hung, G.C., Tuanyok, A., Zhang, B. and Nierman, W.C. at the Pathema-Burkholderia annotation jamboree held at the J. Craig Venter Institute, September 24-26, 2008 (http://pathema.jcvi.org). Participating institutions for the genome revision were: The J. Craig Venter Institute, University of Texas at Austin, Imperial College London, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, and Northern Arizona University.
