The Tursiops truncatus whole genome shotgun (WGS) project has the project accession ABRN00000000. This version of the project (02) has the accession number ABRN02000000, and consists of sequences ABRN02000001-ABRN02554613.

The Tursiops truncatus (dolphin) draft genome sequence (Ttru_1.4) was produced by assembling whole genome shotgun reads (roughly 2.5x Sanger data with 4-6kb inserts, roughly 3.5x 454 FLX fragment data, and roughly 30x Illumina HighSeq data) with the Atlas genome assembly system at the Baylor College of Medicine Human Genome Sequencing Center. The Sanger and 454 data were used to produce a preliminary set of contigs and scaffolds, then Atlas-Link and Atlas-GapFill were used to further improve the scaffold and to fill the intra-scaffold gaps with the Illumina data.
