The Homo sapiens whole genome shotgun (WGS) project has the project accession AADB00000000. This version of the project (02) has the accession number AADB02000000, and consists of sequences AADB02000001-AADB02401931.

This is the November 2001 combined whole genome shotgun assembly applied to the 27 million reads of Celera's whole genome shotgun data and 16 million reads of shredded GenBank data from other human genome projects (Nature 2001. 409:860-921). It relied on Celera's paired reads and BAC end reads from TIGR for long range order and orientation. Its scaffolds were mapped to chromosomes using STS maps.
