Fugomyces
The genus Fugomyces was erected by Sigler & Verweij (2003) to accommodate the Sporothrix cyanescens. This fungus is a weak human pathogen and shows phylogenetic affinity to the Smut fungus order Microstromatales (Middelhoven et al. 2000).
