Comments and References:

Streptoccus infantarius subsp. coli is illegitimate
From the Euzeby LBSN web site: "The subspecies Streptococcus infantarius subsp. coli Schlegel et al. 2000 is illegitimate because no type strain is designated. The authors only designate a reference strain (strain HDP 90248 = NCDO 2620 in the summary, or strain HDP 90246 = NCDO 964 on page 1433). However, Streptococcus infantarius subsp. coli appears on the Notification List of the September issue 2000 of the IJSEM and this name is validly published."
