B3, D3112 misattribution
Pseudomonas phages B3 and D3112 have been misattributed to the Mu-like phages in ICTV VII and ICTV VIII. In most regards, such as lifestyle, genome content and organization, mechanism of DNA replication, etc. these phages are similar to the 'Mu-like viruses' of the family Myoviridae. However, they do possess long non-contractile tails and are therefore now classified in the NCBI taxonomy as Siphoviridae. Hans-Wolfgang Ackermann, Andrew M. Kropinski, Roger Hendrix and Sherwood Casjens pers. com. 2007.
