"Pseudomonas denitrificans"
"The Prokaryotes" Second Edition (Balows et al.) states: "'P. denitrificans' is not a validly published name with official standing in taxonomy (Judicial Commission, 1982). Although strains of 'P. denitrificans' frequently have been the subject of denitrification research, comparative conclustions must be aware of the uncertain situation of this species." (Note: "Pseudomonas denitrificans" (Christensen 1903) Bergey et al. 1923 is placed on the list of nomina rejicienda as a nomen ambiguum because it is a source of confusion (Judicial Opinion 54).)
