Soonwooa buanensis vis-a-vis Chryseobacterium buanense
García-López et al. (2019) recommend transfer of Soonwooa buanensis and Soonwooa purpurea to the genus Chryseobacterium but formally do so only for the type species S. buanensis (Validation List 193). Consequently, S. purpurea would be left as an 'orphan species'. For this reason, Soonwooa Joung et al. 2010 is retained as a separate genus within the NCBI Taxonomy Database with type species S. buanensis.
