L-amino acid ligase C-terminal domain 2
l-amino-acid ligases (LALs; EC 6.3.2.28) were discovered to be ATP-grasp superfamily enzymes that catalyze the formation of an alpha-peptide bond between two l-amino acids in an ATP-dependent manner. The members of this family share a common structural architecture that consists of three domains referred to as the A-domain, B-domain and C-domain. The C domain can be further divided into the C1-subdomain and the C2-subdomain. This entry represents the C2 subdomain.
