TMEM132 C-terminal
TMEM132 family of proteins includes TMEM132A-E, which are transmembrane proteins that regulate neuronal structure and function. In mammalian cells, they may regulate NAP1 in the WAVE regulatory complex (WRC) to finely modulate actin nucleation, cellular cytoskeletal and morphological changes. TMEM132D member has been associated with panic disorders, anxiety and major depressive disorders. TMEM132D is a single-pass transmembrane protein that is highly expressed in the cortical regions of the human and mouse brain. This entry represents the C-terminal region of these proteins which includes the transmembrane helix.
