This family of proteins is found in eukaryotes. Proteins in this family are typically between 138 and 164 amino acids in length. There are two completely conserved residues (H and E) that may be functionally important and four transmembrane helices. The domains in this family vary in length from 124 to 126 amino acids. The precise function of the protein family is still unknown.
