Actin cytoskeleton-regulatory complex protein END3
Endocytosis is accomplished through the sequential recruitment at endocytic sites of proteins that drive cargo sorting, membrane invagination and vesicle release. End3p is part of the coat module protein complex Pan1, along with Pan1p, Sla1p, and Sla2p. The proteins in this complex are regulated by phosphorylation events. End3p also regulates the cortical actin cytoskeleton. The subunits of the Pan1 complex are homologous to mammalian intersectin.
