This family of proteins is found in eukaryotes. Proteins in this family are typically between 77 and 1130 amino acids in length. The family is found in association with pfam00041. CD45 plays a critical role in T-cell receptor (TCR)-mediated signaling. CD45 interacts with SKAP55 which is a transcriptional activator of IL-2.
