Beta-lactamase inhibitor (BLIP)
The structure of BLIP reveals two structural domains, which form a polar, concave surface that docks onto a predominantly polar, convex protrusion on beta-lactamase. The ability of BLIP to adapt to a variety of class A beta-lactamases is thought to be due to flexibility between these two domains.
