This family includes prokaryotic proteins of unknown function, as well as a protein annotated as the pit accessory protein from Sinorhizobium meliloti. However, the function of this protein is also unknown (Pit stands for Phosphate transport). It is probably distantly related to pfam01895 (personal obs:Yeats C).
