WzyE protein, O-antigen assembly polymerase This family consists of several WzyE proteins which appear to be specific to Enterobacteria. Members of this family are described as putative ECA polymerases this has been found to be incorrect. The function of this family is unknown. The family is a transmembrane family with up to 11 TM regions, and is necessary for the assembly of O-antigen lipopolysaccharide. |
