This family consists of several fungal specific trichothecene efflux pump proteins. Many of the genes involved in trichothecene toxin biosynthesis in Fusarium sporotrichioides are present within a gene cluster.It has been suggested that TRI12 may play a role in F. sporotrichioides self-protection against trichothecenes.
