ADAM cysteine-rich
ADAMs are membrane-anchored proteases that proteolytically modify cell surface and extracellular matrix (ECM) in order to alter cell behaviour. It has been shown that the cysteine-rich domain of ADAM13 regulates the protein's metalloprotease activity.
