Members of this family are uncharacterized proteins from the genus Mycoplasma, typically about 260 amino acids long, with a hydrophobic predicted transmembrane alpha helix toward each end. Often two family members are encoded in tandem, e.g. MG_279 and MG_280 from Mycoplasma genitalium.
