This protein is most closely related to the transcriptional termination/antitermination protein NusG (TIGR00922) and contains the KOW motif (pfam00467). This protein appears to be limited to the gamma proteobacteria. In E. coli, this gene appears to control the expression of haemolysin, sex factor and lipopolysaccharide genes.
