UDP-N-acetylglucosamine diphosphorylase/glucosamine-1-phosphate N-acetyltransferase This protein is a bifunctional enzyme, GlmU, which catalyzes last two reactions in the four-step pathway of UDP-N-acetylglucosamine biosynthesis from fructose-6-phosphate.
