hisA/hisF family protein This model models a family of proteins found so far in three archaeal species: Methanobacterium thermoautotrophicum, Methanococcus jannaschii, and Archaeoglobus fulgidus. This protein is homologous to phosphoribosylformimino-5-aminoimidazole carboxamide ribotide isomerase (HisA) and, with lower similarity, to the cyclase HisF, both of which are enzymes of histidine biosynthesis.
